Velma: Oh, well that's depressing. I have to admit, that Johnny thing kind of hurt!  I'm not surprised that just about every guy likes Daphne-- she's a great girl, and I don't think anyone would say she isn't pretty. That's just how it is!

Aleah  writes: Do you have a page full of all the Bratz Dolls that have been made? If you do, send it to my e-mail please. I have most of the Bratz Dolls, but I need like an outline or something to  see what other Bratz Dolls that I need. Velma: I don't have anything like that, but I don't think it would be that hard for you to find on the Web. Try typing "bratz dolls" into a search engine. I bet they even have their own website, since they're so popular. If you still have one of the boxes from your dolls, look on there and I bet the website would be listed. Besides, wouldn't you prefer a Barbie ;)

Velma: It's called "Pass the Dutchie." Umm hmm...

Velma: Thank you! I was so shy then-- jinkies. The name of the actor that you are asking about is Charles Cousins.

Bianca writes: Dear Velma, What is going to happen in the new movie? Is it going to be scarier and what  is the title of the new movie? Love, Bianca

Velma: The name of the new movie is "Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed," but that could change. It is about a mysterious villain who uses a machine to make real versions of some of our past foes, like Captain Cutler and the 10,000 Volt Ghost! We meet up with some of the bad guys from our past, and also some new people like Heather, a "meddling" reporter (could help myself!) and Patrick, a museum curator.

Carlz  writes: How old are you? What are your hobbies? What's your favorite things? Is it fun to be the brains of the outfit? Do you get annoyed when Fred  steals the spotlight? Do you like anyone in Mystery inc? How long have you known  the gang? What's your favorite colour? Were you cute when you were little? Have  you always been the brains of the outfit? Has Daphne always been dumb?

Velma: Jinkies, that's a lot of questions! Some of my hobbies and favorite things are mysteries, mysteries, and more mysteries! (: I also like being with the gang and my family (the gang sort of IS my family, too,) reading, working on a good scientific problem... I do like being the brains of the outfit (though I'm not saying that the others aren't smart, too-- and Daphne isn't dumb at all, just a little danger-prone!) Fred did annoy me with his spotlight-hogging, yes. He's much better about that now, and, well... Fred is Fred, and we all love him.  I've known he and Shaggy since before I can even remember, and Daphne since pre-school. I was cute when I was little, I guess... and my favorite color-- surprise, surprise-- is orange.

Velma: Thank you! It was indeed in May. I haven't seen "The Italian Job" but I do like Seth Green quite a bit.

Kari writes: So I've seen the Spooky Island movie and laughed myself into a fit watching it. Although I have to say one of the many highlights of the movie  was when you found yourself a lovely guy friend (played by Charles Cousins). I  was wondering what Velma really thought of him, and since Mary Jane will  probably be in SD2, will he?  Also It seems virtually impossible to find out much information about  Charles Cousins, If you had any could you let us all know?  Also I just wanted to say Velma is a great role model for the girls out  there with glasses. Velma: Thank you, Kari. First of all, I'm so glad that you think I'm a good role model... I'll have to make sure I try to live up to that! It's a big responsibility. And as for the "lovely" Charles Cousins-- he umm... was a highlight for me, too. Neither he nor Isla Fisher (Mary Jane) is going to be in Scooby 2, but here's a picture of him doing Shakespeare in his native Australia that you might like. I do (though I miss that goatee...) He's the second from the right.

Velma: They're filming it right now, in British Columbia. It should be done in late July and released next March.

In the realistic movie (SD), were you kind of suspicious of Emile Mondevarious?	I was, but there were a lot of things that didn't make sense at first. I couldn't understand why he would have invited us to the Island to solve the mystery if he were behind everything. I was actually more suspicious of N'Goo Tauna at first. Never liked that guy.
What is your favorite show?	I don't really have a favorite.
Do you think that everyone was right for each part (M.L. as Shaggy, S.M.G. as Daphne, F.P.J. as Fred and L.C as Velma)?	Yes, I thought the movie was well-cast. I'm very partial to Linda, though. I was so happy with her portrayal of me!
Can you ever come over my house sometime?	I'd like to, but we're traveling so much on mysteries right now that I'd probably have a hard time making the trip.
Do you like Shaggy or Fred?(or anyone) I think you mean "like" as in romantically, so the answer is no for Shaggy and Fred.	They're great guys, but we're happy staying friends. As for anyone else... I think I'll keep that to myself...

Daphne and I are closer friends, but we've known each other a lot longer, too. 

Do you think when you are making "Scooby 2" you can tell Sarah Michelle Gellar that Caitlin is her biggest fan and that I said Hi. You will be my  best friend!

I will try to remember, but things get very hectic on the set so don't hold me to it!

Velma: Thank you so much! What do I do with all this love? (: About Zombie Island-- I was VERY surprised to find out about those zombies. Jinkies, talk about creepy! Lena did act like she liked Fred, but no one who really cares about someone else would do what she planned to do! As for ice cream, I like all kinds, but hot fudge sundaes are my favorite.

Championess writes: Hiya! Im a big mystery inc fan, I know all the words to the live-action movie - I can recite them without watching the movie! HE HE I  like watching whats new scooby doo, and in 'Its mean, its green, its the mystery machine' episode they got a load of facts wrong. For instance in this  episode it says that fred bought the mystery machine second-hand, and it used to belong  to an old pop group. THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOO WRONG!!! Daphne's dad bought it really!  It alo says that the mystery machine was already painted with the flowers and  stuff when fred (supposedly) bought it! THEY GOT IT ALL WRONG! Also, I have 2 tough questions for you, here they are- Do you think shaggy likes you better than he likes scooby? Who do you prefer to be with out of the gang? OK, thanks, see ya later! -x-

Velma: Those are some very good questions, and I'll start off with the tougher ones. I don't know if Shaggy likes me better than Scooby, but that's not really something I worry about. A person can have more than one best friend. Still, Shaggy and Scooby are pretty much inseperable. I don't have a favorite in the gang and I love to be with all of them.

Those Mystery Machine questions are pretty hard, too. The truth is that with so many different Scooby shows and series and films, the facts do tend to get turned around and overlap a lot. Daphne's father did pay for the Mystery Machine, but Fred was the one that scouted for it since he knows a lot about
cars.

Velma: Sadly, no.

Hay-Leigh writes: Hi Velma! I'm very glad that you are someone I can actually ask a question to without getting a stupid answer. When I watched one of your  movies, Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost, I noticed it promoted Wicca quite a bit,  don't you think? That I thought might be a bad thing for young children in between  6 and 10, though they may not even realize that or even understand even though it's well described. It was a great movie though and I got really caught up  in the Hex girls. I love their songs and I sing them all the time. Me and my friends want to re-create the band, but we want to know if that's all right,  so I'm asking you. Good job on the movie and I hope to see another great one  out
soon!

Velma: Those are very good questions, and I certainly hope I don't give you a stupid answer. (I know I'm the "smart one," but it doesn't mean that I don't say stupid things sometimes. Well, not often... (: ) There was some controversy about the Wicca issue in "Witches' Ghost," you're right. I don't think the filmmakers meant it to happen that way, but it did. On an easier topic, I'm glad you like the Hex Girls. Do you have the "Witches' Ghost" soundtrack album-- I bet you'd love it! If you want to make a band, I would chose a different name for it and some different stage names for yourselves, for copyright reasons. You could have a similar idea, though.
