amy-bekks writes: Dear Velma, SATS are over history I went swimming with my friend then I spent 3 hours on the beach and I  bought 1 ice cream 1 ball 2 packets of gum shurbut dip 1 bottle of water 1 packet  of smarties and 1 chunky white chocolate bar would you be able to buy all that?

Velma: Buy all of that, yes. Eat all of that-- probably! I love sugary foods as much as the next person, though I try not to eat them too often now. (You can get away with it because you're young!) One of my favorite snacks when I was your age was french fries with mayonaise-- I don't know how I could always eat that.

amy-bekks writes again: dear Velma, my sats results are back and one girl in my class got level 5 in evreything I got level 4 in evrything exept science when i got level 5 tomorrow i'm off  to visit my new school where you nervos about moving into a completly new school new class and getting lost

Velma: Congratulations on your good test scores! It sounds like you're a great student, and, like me, enjoy science! I do know how you feel about going to a new school. I went away to a private high school (you can see it in the Tim Conaway episode of the New Scooby Doo Movies), and I was so nervous because I was away from home and also younger than everyone else there (I skipped two grades.) It was also so hard for me not to be going to school with the gang anymore. My advice is just to hang in there and take one day at a time-- you'll get used to it before you know it. Also, remember to just be yourself-- don't try to impress the new people at the school. You'll be much happier and much better off!

1.Why did the Snow Ghost kidnap you ?

Velma: To get me out of the way, I'd imagine. I don't know why he tried to cut me in half, though-- he was way more violent than most of the "ghosts" we've gone up against.

2.What`s your sign ?

I'm not sure... I'm not into astrology so I tend to get the signs mixed up. I was born in May-- which sign is that?

3.Would you go out with me ?

I'd have to meet you first! Actually, I'm not really available just now... but I'm flattered that you asked.

I don't usually pass questions on, but once every 10 years or so... 8-)

Daphne Questions
1.Remember that one time you were in China,I didn`t see you get taken into  the truck, what did the dead people do to you when they got too the temple ?

I remember the case pretty well (that was one of our earlier ones) but some of the kidnappings run together. ): I think they just left me there tied up.

2.Would you go out with me ?(I`am 16)

That's so sweet of you to ask! I think I'm a little old for you, though. Hey, didn't you just ask Velma out? What a ladies man.

3.Why do badguys kidnap you the most ?

Because they look at my appearance and think I can't defend myself. That was true for a long time, so I guess they weren't all wrong. Any bad guys that try to bother me now get a big surprise! I just need to work on that trapdoor thing...

Shaggy
1.How old are you ?

In my twenties. Like, I can't say more 'cause Daph will get steamed. (If I tell you my age, you can figure out hers!)

2.What`s your favorite color ?

I like them all, but I guess green would be my favorite. Like, turqoise is groovy too!

3.Do you have a rush on Velma ?

A crush? Velms is, like, one of the best girls in the world, but we've never gone out or anything. Oh, wait-- we did go to the prom and some other dances together, but just as friends. That pretty much says it, man-- we're just friends, but that's completely cool!
Scooby
1.How old are you in dog years ?

R'I.... ron't know.

2.What kind of dog are you ?

G'reat Dane!

3.Do you remember the time when you saved Velma from the Snow Ghost ?(That was really brave dude)

Rawww.... rit rasn't rat rave. R'I rust rad to relp Relma! (Translation from Shaggy: It wasn't that brave. I just had to help Velma!)
Fred
1.Are you always cheerful ?

Most of the time, yeah-- I have a good life! I try to stay cheerful and optimistic when I'm leading the gang because it keeps morale up... and it's good for the press, too.

2.What`s your sign ?

I don't know.

3.As a boy did you ever read Marvel Comics ?

Yeah, all the time! How'd you guess?

Fummy  writes: Who plays the character Velma Dinkley in the Scooby-dooo movie with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jnr in it?

Velma:  Linda Cardellini.

Mlle. Dinkley  writes: Hello Velms,  In that episode where you guys went to Italy, you mentioned that you were part of a photography club. Is this a new interest for you? What sort of things do you normally take pictures of?

Velma: Hi-- I haven't heard from you in awhile! I first became interested in photography during high school-- I joined the club because I knew about the planned trip to Italy and thought it would be interesting to photograph the ancient structures and archeological sites. I generally take photos of the gang these days, and of the many places we visit during our travels. You can see me snapping away in several of the shows-- I guess "Legend of the Vampire" would be the most recent.

scooberoo  writes: In your opinion who was your favorite villain that you had to unmask?
Which villain had the best scheme?

Velma: There have been so many that I really couldn't tell you. While it's on my mind, though, that scheme that the Snow Ghost had going was pretty sneaky. He was storing stolen jewelry in hollowed-out logs and then floating them downstream past customs inspection. That seems pretty minor when you compare it to some of our villains who were trying to take over the world, though.

Thorn  writes: Hey Velma, You and Dalphine are like my favorite characters! But I have 2 questions:
1. Did you like Ben Ravencroft? Why?

Velma: I really did. It was hard for me to talk about him for awhile, but since it was years ago now I can to some extent. I liked him because he was intelligent, a brilliant writer, and well... let's face it, he was very handsome. He also had a great deal of charm and charisma, and I guess I was very flattered and taken in by the way he paid attention to me. I'm just thankful that we were able to stop him despite my personal feelings.

2. Which song of The Hex Girls is your favorite? ROCK ON VELMA!!! From the Real Thorn....

Velma: Hmmm... I'd have to say their title song. Or maybe "Earth, Wind, Fire, and Air" because we all got to help play it!

Daniel Z.  writes: why do you always say Jinkies?

Velma: Habit, plus it's just part of who I am. It was probably my first word! (Well, it wouldn't have been a real word then, so maybe that doesn't count.)

demi  writes: when i grow up i really want to be an actor just like you! but the thing is i don't knpw what it takes!
ps.what do i do if a boy at school likes me and everyone is teasin me about it!it's been going on for 4 weeks but the scary thing is i'm starting to like him back what should i do about it?

Velma: Being an actor takes talent and a whole lot of determination! Training is also good, so get started now by taking some acting classes. You should try to get involved in school plays, and also community theatre plays and shows for young people. You have to audition for those, so keep an eye out in the paper for the notices.

I'm probably not the best person to ask about romantic matters (maybe I should go ask Daphne for help with this!) but I do know a lot about dealing with teasing and rumors. They're only teasing you to make themselves feel better or higher-up, so just keep your chin up high and ignore it as best you can.
Arguing or getting really upset will only make it worse because that's what they want you to do! You said it's been going on for four weeks-- it'll probably go away soon and they'll find something else to talk about. I don't know how old you are so it's hard to tell you what to do about your feelings for this guy (that's probably a good question to talk about with your mom or older sis.)  Hang in there-- it'll be okay!

Daffyfan2003  writes: Hi.  I'm a big fan of "Scooby-Doo."  I've noticed that WB isn't airing "What's New, Scooby Doo?" anymore.  What's even worse is they replaced it with that baby show with the stupid screaming mouse.  Does that tick you off too?  After all, you are one of the stars of the show.  :)

Velma: We are back this fall !
