Velma Great Dane.
Flame Phoenix Girl writes: Are you still with Mystery Inc or Did they split up?
Velma We are together and going strong! That break-up seems very far in the past.
Ebby writes: Do you and your friends get to see each other off
screen. What is
the title of your next movie. Tell us what each of the gangs fave Disney shows are
Velma Yes, we see each other pretty much every day-- lots of mysteries out there to
solve, you know. The title of our next movie is "Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed," and will be coming out late next March! (In the meantime, you can
watch the teaser trailer online; the full-length trailer is coming out around Christmas.) Unfortunately, I have no idea what Disney shows everyone in the
gang likes. It's never come up! I would guess that Scooby likes "Lady and the Tramp" or "Oliver and Company" -- but not "The Aristocats!"
amy-bekks writes: hi velma.
i haven't been able to email you recently as i've hd too much homework well anyway whats the best tip you can give me as i left my glasses in my
coat during games and then i left my coat in the changing rooms now they are missing
what should i do (i'm nearsighted but i can see with out them?)
Velma Hi, Amy! Yes, I haven't heard from you in awhile, but homework is a top
priority. About your question-- by the time I have answered this, my advice will probably be too late. At this point, the best you can do (if you haven't
already) is check the lost-and-found at your school, or the office if there is no lost-and-found. If someone turned them in, they might still have them there.
If someone stole them, there really isn't much you can do now. I hope that helps a little!
Liz writes: Why don't you do a Shaggy's Site? I love Shaggy! He is very
handsome, and he is very funny! I like this! He is a hero!
Velma I agree with you on everything! He is a hero (even if he does act chicken,
which really annoys me sometimes!) and he is handsome in that scruffy, bohemian way.
Jinkies, I hope he doesn't see all this-- that would be completely embarrassing... anyway, I don't really have time to set up a Shaggy site myself,
but there might be some out there already. Or, you could make one yourself...?
daphne.blake writes: I love this site i think it is brilliant!
I have been a fan of scooby-doo since i was a little girl. I am now 16 and i still love it as much and more! I am aiming to see every episode and i am
nearly there, which aint bad considering i am from the uk and we don't have
Scooby-doo playing as much over here!
Velma Thank you! It will be a big task to see every Scooby episode, because there are
hundreds out there! (Fred and I aren't in a big bunch of them, though... grumble, grumble...) On a cartoon channel here in the U.S. they recently showed
every single episode over the course of a month. You might want to check out Christine's "Scooby Doo We Love You" page (you can get to it through the Real
Scooby Webring.) There is a very good episode guide there that might help you out.
Novar writes: Is there going to be a scooby doo 3 and is scooby-dum in scooby
doo 2
Velma No Scooby-Dum in our next movie, unless they throw a really big suprise at us
last minute. There is a Scooby-Doo 3 script being worked on by two totally different writers, but we don't know much about it yet or whether the film will
be made. Probably depends on how well Scooby-2 does at the box office!
Kenderson writes: I love the Mystery Mahine a lot I love it a much as I do you
5. I just wanted to ask why are their 3 diffrent versions of the Mystery
Machine? what did you guys do with your 60's clothes? How does the diffrent series and movies
go in order? What state is Coolsville in ad Why dont we ever see Fred's realitives
but we see the other's families?P.S Ilike the WNSD episodes called "The Fast and
the Wormiest"and "It's Mean, It's Green,It's the Mystery Machine" I like the fact
that, that famous van was once one of the gang's villians.
Velma Those are some hard questions! First off, there are different Mystery Machines
because we wear them out! All that driving around really racks up the miles. They still all run, though, so sometimes for fun we pull out one of the
"retired" ones. My favorite is the original. Coolsville is in Ohio.
It is hard to put the series in order because they really jump around a lot, but
I'll try. The television series go pretty much in order-- "SD Where Are You?" "New SD Movies," "The SD Show," and so on. "What's New Scooby-Doo" also fits in
there, because, even though it is a new series, we are fairly young in it. The videos come next ("Zombie Island," "Witch's Ghost," etc) but the break-up from
"Zombie" overlapped some of the later series like "13 Ghosts of SD." The most recent adventures are the live-action movies. See, I told you it was confusing!
(:
As for what we did with the sixties-style clothes...ummm... I'm still wearing mine...
Kenderson writes: Hi Velma.I love the whole gang and I too arnt very fond of

witnessed on the fist episode on WNSD.Iwould just like to know why are their
3 versions of the Mystery Machine and which type did you likethe most?P.S my favorite episodes are "The fast and the Wormiest" and "Its Mean Its Green
its the Mystery Machine" also this is my first time here I stummbled onto this
site and Im glad I did.
Velma I'm glad you're enjoying it. It sounds like you're very talented with building
things! That's terrific, and your Mystery Machine models sound very detailed.
I answered your questions above.
Tyler Marmet writes: I have a Chinese phrase for you, Velma.
Wo ai ne. And I mean it.
Velma That's so sweet-- thank you! I love my fans, too.
(That's so sweet-- jinkies, is Daphne wearing off on me at last!?)
Linda writes: How can I get a list of all the scooby movies, because my son
loves them.
Velma Here is a list of all our movies that I know of (if you would like to know about
television episodes, please see my answer above regarding the "SD We Love You" page.)
Scooby-Doo (live-action film,) SD on Zombie Island (maybe a little scary if your
son is very young,) SD and the Witch's Ghost, SD and the Alien Invaders, SD and the Cyber Chase, SD and the Legend of the Vampire, SD and the Monster of Mexico
(just released,) SD Meets the Boo Brothers, SD and the Ghoul School, SD and the Reluctant Werewolf, and SD Goes Hollywood.
There are also several episode compilations available on DVD and VHS that include: SD's Creepiest Capers, SD's Spookiest Tales, What's New SD (several of
the first seasons eps,) Winter Wonderdog, SD Meets Batman, and SD Meets the Harlem Globetrotters.

science and history- not to mention for being one of the most charming and attactive people I know. Well- thanks again!
ollie
Velma I think that might be one of the best letters I've ever received-- thank you!
I'm so glad I was an inspiration to you. That just made my day! Best of luck to you on your semester finals and the rest of your school year.
jerb writes: Hi there Velma! Well it's
Christmas time again and a lot of us
will be buying sweaters as gifts. Any tips? Also I've been seeing a lot of cute striped
sweaters & knee scocks[some in orange] lately. Think your gonna give them a try?-Happy Holidays Jreb
Velma Striped... ooo, I don't know... well, if they're popular, I'm sure I'll be
getting a whole batch from Daphne for Christmas! My advice on sweater-buying would be to get a lighter, more "breathable" knit (unless you're in a freezing
climate.) That way, it's not too heavy to wear into spring (or, in my case, all
year round.) Wool is not one of my favorites. Form-fitting is okay, but don't buy one that's too tight-- getting half-strangled by a tight turtleneck is just
not fun!
Daffyfan2003 writes: Hi, Velma. I've noticed there haven't been too many new posts on
your site in a while so I thought I'd ask you a few questions. First of all in "What a Knight for a Night," how did you find your glasses so quickly. You
didn't have them on when you got out Shaggy's cold medicine, yet they were
on a few seconds later when you gave him the medicine. Do you have "magic glasses"
or something like that. Lol. Another question, will "What's New Scooby-Doo?"
be back on the air any time soon. I know WB replaced it with some "Teen Titans"
show, so I'm wondering how long will that last. Well, talk to you later. Daffyfan
Velma Jinkies, I wish I had "magic glasses!" That would make life so much easier!
(Ah, Fred just saw this and made a comment. "They're called 'contacts,' Velma."
Hmmph.) I don't remember the Black Knight mystery all that well because it was a long time ago (but look for him to come back in a big way in SD2!) but I think
the moment you described was a "blooper." They happen. I wish I knew exactly when our show was coming back on, too! My guess is it will be back on in
spring.
damonika stephens writes: when did
you, shaggy, fred, daphne, and scooby-doo first started?
I've been watching scooby since I was a baby.[i'm 13 now]
Velma I think we (all of us except Scooby, who wasn't born yet) solved our first
mystery when I was six, but we've been friends since before that. Fred, Shaggy,
and I met as babies! (They are two years older than I am, though.) Our parents
are all friends so we were always at each other's houses and being baby-sat together. Daphne we met later, in pre-school.
scooby-doo writes: DEAR SCOBY-DOO AND THE GANG Do you thank that you could

Velma Thank you. (See, I'm finally getting the hang of this!) You can always write to
me at this address and I'll do my best to answer any questions you have about the gang or myself and post them here. Sometimes I can't get to all the letters
every month, though, so if I don't reply, please try again! I wish I could do personal replies to everyone, but I just can't. Imagine what would happen if I
spent all my time writing and let those criminals run amuck!
joanna writes: orange is my favorite

Velma Jinkies, I'd love to be friends with you-- more like pen-pals, I guess! (Please
don't be upset if I'm a little tardy answering your questions or giving advice, though-- we get so busy running around on mysteries these days that sometimes we
can't even remember where we are!) Orange is my favorite color, too (obviously!) so we have something in common right off the bat.
puppyshagstervelma writes: Dear Velma like how do you find clues by how is the bad in every
mystery like do you guys always split up and then you and the gang solve it.
Velma We split up so we can cover more ground and find clues more quickly... at least
that is what Freddy says... (: No, really, that's why we do it. Finding clues is not always easy; it takes a lot of concentration and sometimes pure luck.
The most ordinary object (like a scrap of paper or a piece of gum) can turn out to be a vital piece of information. One of my main jobs in the gang is to
interpret the items we find and figure out if they have any relevance to the case.

Blake Layman writes: How many times do you think your glasses have came off your face?
Velma I have no idea. Not nearly as often as people think! The only problem is that
it seems to happen at the very worst possible times. |
Kitty cat writes: I'm your biggest fan.
How do you lose your glasses?
Velma Thank you! Most of the time when I lose my glasses, it's because someone or
something runs into me, or I trip and fall. A few times they have just seemed to spring right off my face with no help at all! I don't know why that happens!
kasey writes: what was the fashion back in the 60's
?
Velma That would take a very long time to answer in detail, and would be better shown
in pictures! Try looking in a theatre costume book or watching films set in the
60s. Daphne and I both wear outfits that were typical of women in that time period (okay, Daphne more than me)-- minidresses and miniskirts were very
popular, as were the high boots that she wears in the live-action movie. Shaggy
wears hippie-type attire, and the bell-bottom pants that both he and Fred have were in style then (and now!) Fred's ascot... well, I'm not really sure when in
the heck that was ever popular! (:
Blake Layman writes: Hi velma nother question for you you do your share of sweet
talking when you scoob to do something does your sweet talking always work? (scooby
will you do it for a scooby snack?) does that always work?
Velma Yes, but sometimes you have to give him the whole darn box of
snacks !

Blake Layman writes: Hi Velma me again with some more questions
1. Did you know your looks are good and you look good with/without your

Velma Gee, thanks!
2. Are you the youngest member of the gang
Velma Yes, except for Scooby (unless you count his age in dog years!) |
bug girl writes: how did you get so smart?

Velma Yes. I also like red.
is playing scooby doo fun?
Playing with Scooby-Doo or playing the the shows and movies? Both!
do you really have a dog that talks?
Oh, yes, he talks alright!
I'm your bigest fan!
Thank you very much!
Kairi writes: I have some questions:

No. Jeapordy might be fun, but I've never gotten around to it. |
2: Did you ever see Teen Titans? |
No. |
3: How old is Scooby Doo? |
7 |
4: Whos your favorite Disney character? |
I haven't really thought about it before. I remember liking Lady Cluck from Robin Hood and Archimedes the Owl
from Sword and the Stone. Phoebus from Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan (facegetting red...) |
5: did you ever play Kingdom Hearts? Thats it... |
No, I haven't. Looks fun, though. |
sam writes: do you know any websites that would have stuff about the hex
girls (pictures, facts, profiles, ecs.)
Velma I don't think there is a whole website just for them with any detailed
information, though I could be wrong. Try a specific websearch in google or another search engine by putting "hex girls" in quotes.
Blake Layman writes: Between Velma and Daphne I would say Velma because she has got
the looks, the brain power, and she has more outstanding achievement I think she really looks good with the
glasses, the hair, and the orange sweater. I grew up watching scooby doo its always been the best cartoon I have ever seen and I
have always been attractive to Velma because she is so smart she can really think
and when she see a villan she knows what to do right away smart girl.I have been
behind the seeings of Velma and I got a real good look at how many awards she has won for outstanding achievement Daphne might get straight A's too but
not as good as Velma velma is better than Daphne i think.Everything is cool about
Velma. When Velma's glasses come off her face she still looks good but i like her face better with the glasses. When Velma needs some help all she has to
do is do some sweet talking to scoob will you do it for a scooby snack velma always
says and it works velma does her share of sweet talking too. I have seen Velma unmask villans before she is good at it there sure is alot of stuff to say
about Velma since she is so smart I watch velma alot and she has got everthing. Two
girls play good and the best one is Velma. You 're good velma your're a real professional you're really good. Keep on playing Velma I love you.
Velma Well, THAT was completely flattering... I'm a little flustered here! I'm really
not better than Daphne, though-- just different. Still, I'm flattered! Where was all of this attention years ago...
